This is one of those infrequent times where my career and my photography cross paths! This week was the Chicago Chapter of DIFFA's Dining By Design event at the Merchandise Mart.
Here's a little background on DIFFA/Chicago (The Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS): A not-for-profit fundraising and grant making foundation that distributes funds to Chicago area HIV/AIDS service agencies that provide direct service, preventative education and outreach to people who are HIV positive, living with AIDS or at risk for infection. Founded in 1984, DIFFA has granted more than $38 million to hundreds of community-based organizations. Founded by volunteers from the fashion industry, interior design, furnishings and architecture, supporters of DIFFA now come from every field associated with fine design.
My interior design firm, The Gettys Group, designed a booth this year. The 2015 Dining by Design Communall booth theme was -- BENEVOLENCE: The Secret Society of Kindness designed by our Branding and Interior Designers. "Our space has a sense of mystery and playfulness while rewarding guests with a grand reveal and membership cards to encourage guests to value doing good and being kind," says Jess C., The Gettys Group Branding Designer.
I'm so proud of how our design came to fruition with creating a beautiful space and fostering an incredible experience for guests that extended throughout the evening and beyond our little booth!
