A little while back my friends Ian & Yana stopped through Chicago on their USA road trip for their small business, Moth Oddities. I first met Yana when we studied abroad together in Florence, Italy--Yana studying graphic design & I, interior design. I always admired her ambition and innate entrepreneurial sense. It's been so amazing seeing her & Ian's small business come to life over the past few years--from first hearing about it over a late night and many bottles of wine, to now a full-time business!
I love their mission of breathing new life into vintage goods and promoting recycled fashion rather than wasteful, fast-fashion trends. They recently completed a road trip along the perimeter of the US and are bursting with new goodies for sale on their site! When they came to town Yana & Ian teamed up with Lauren of Lake Shore Lady to come up with 2 outfits mixing vintage items with new pieces that were on brand for her blog. See Lauren's posts here and here, and my favorite pics from our shoots below!
