Last month I had the opportunity to go to Round Top Antiques Show for the first time! I had been wanting to check it out, but the 22 miles of antiques sounded completely overwhelming so I was thrilled when I got this photo gig to take it on with seasoned vets, Object Limited (a shoppable antiques app and podcast launching soon) & Claire Zinnecker (a fabulous local ATX interior designer)! If you want to know more about the show, Claire wrote a great guide for Domino last year! You can check it out here.
To start the day, we walked around the vendors at Excess I. The Excess Fields are a great spot to start because they are so well-curated every year. See photos from the Excess I field below!
To round of the day we made an obligatory stop at Royer’s Cafe for their famous pies and took a few photos at the ever photogenic Rancho Pillow (where Claire & Will were staying). This antique show is absolutely incredible and really has something for everyone! I went back a few days later to do a little shopping for myself and bought a stunning agate drinks table at The Compound, a few gold victorian bracelets at Cole’s, and a 2 oushak Turkish rugs in Northgate.
Thanks again for having me along your antiques journey and showing me the ropes, Will & Claire. I will definitely be back in the spring!
