David & I took a quick 4-day trip to Grace Bay on Turks & Caicos in August. We both took some time off in between jobs and before packing up for our mov to Texas, so we thought we’d do a trip to celebrate the close of one chapter and the start of the next. David has always wanted to do a vacation to ‘really clear blue water’ and we’d heard Grace Bay is perfect for that. My goodness did it deliver! This trip was easily both of our favorite ‘relaxing’ vacations we’ve ever taken—highly recommend!
Our favorite things we did were dinner at the Somewhere Cafe (the reggae band was so fun and it was just a short walk down the beach from our hotel), snuba with Jodi, lunch & dinners at Da Conch Shack (the rum punch though..!), dinner at Coco Bistro (to die for! incredible meal!). We also ate a handful of meals at our hotel, The Gansevoort, and really enjoyed them (though pricey). There is awesome snorkeling all over the island as well. We were able to snorkel right at our hotel.
Since we were really trying to savor the R&R, I didn’t pick up my DSLR once and only took a few iphone snaps. Here are my favorite film shots we both captured throughout our time on the island.
Here are a few pics from my ancient Walgreens underwater camera. I bought it 5 years ago and kept forgetting I had 10 frames left I needed to use. Finally dug it up for this trip!
